The woodsman is getting a flannel shirt today. I’m debating whether to give him a beard or not. In the story, he has one, and he’s probably a bit older than I’ve painted him. I didn’t refer back to the story as I was painting. I had to work quickly to get it down on canvas before it was too late.

I’m thinking this painting is going to change a lot before night fall. Like, I’m not loving her dress. It needs some work, and I’m not sure how yet.
