Still working on this one..
it's been several weeks, and multiple layers of paint.
Not finished yet, but getting close now.
It's suppose to snow tomorrow and Thursday.
I can't wait!!
It will be so cool to watch it fall from my studio in the trees.
Listening to Asaf Avidan while painting today..
and now you can, too.
Enjoy!
I'm such a sucker for boys who play guitar and harmonica.

ReplyDeleteOooh, thanks sooo much for following my blog!! I'm a follower of yours, also..on Google reader. :)
Deletenice! i love how layered your paintings are!
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I don't know any other way to paint..otherwise, it's too flat. :)
DeleteHi, Katie! I found your link on Creative Every Day and I'm so glad I followed it. Your work is so very inspiring! I read the post about moving your studio upstairs. My studio used to be upstairs in the trees and I absolutely loved it. It was also very good to have such a clear separation of home and work. I hope you are enjoying your new space! -janice
ReplyDeleteP.S. - I'm happy to be a new follower!
DeleteYes, the separation is a big reason for doing it. I know when I'm upstairs, I'm working. Downstairs is for living, and it works out waaay better this way.
DeleteThanks so much for following my blog. :))
Love this one! Yay for snow days!
ReplyDeleteoh Miz Katie, this painting is just gorgeous!! i love the white part, where we can see bits of the other colors in there too. Love the limited color palette. Beautiful work AND music. :-) xox
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pauline. I usually do many many layers, and that's why you see bits of color here and there..whenever I add a new layer, I don't cover up the layer beneath completely, on purpose, so it will show through.
