Healing Art Journal
Another assignment for Suzi’s workshop was to make a healing art journal. We are going to record our art progress in it each day. I finally got mine finished today. Well, it’s still a work in progress, but I got the gist of it done. I will seal it in beeswax once I’m sure I’m finished messing with it.
She is holding a sign which reads: I AM WORTHY.
And, you better believe I AM.
I am worthy of making art.
I am worthy of calling myself an artist.
And, so are you!
If you don’t believe me, just watch this…
Oh, and to give you an idea of the great artists in Suzi’s workshop, you should take a look at the links below. Aren’t these artists fabulous?
Suzi Blu doll pool @ flickr
art junk girl
Shabby Girl
Sarah Fishburn
whimsies & folksies
a purple daisy
collage diva

And that’s just barely making a dent in all the wonderful art I’ve been wallowing in since this class started. It’s only been a week, and it was well worth the $55 for this class. Suzi is going way above the call of duty..making us extra videos and pdfs. She is really putting her all into this. And..I have 7 more weeks to go! YAY!!!!

Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I made a healing art journal, too, but I haven’t decorated it yet. I find it to be very helpful — after I sketch for a while, I write down all the negative things I said to myself, and then I counter them with something positive. It’s really been helping me.
Your sketches look great. Maybe goth is “you”? I wanted my girls to be more of the toddler age, but I haven’t been able to achieve that look. Mine look more in the teen/young adult age range, but I’m liking them.
See you in class!

oh, thank you, blaiz. you are sweet, but i don’t think goth is me. i just haven’t figured out what i’m doing yet. :) it’s going to take some time before i get my own style, but i’ll keep plugging along in the meantime. it’s fun to practice.
i am using my journal, too. it helps to make notes when i’m watching suzi’s videos.

That is a great idea for an art journal. Your cover is very cute and has a great message. I’ve checked out Suzi Blu before but missed that she now has a class. I’ll have to go over and check that out.
